The State Government of Karnataka had planned to Implement the 113 Rule to Protect the School and College Students. The Bill Related to this was released.
The Education department had formed the 113 rule which consists of information related to the health of the students studying in School and colleges, Basic Amenities, Individual Protection and the Transport Facilities. The Draft copy related to this was released.
Comments: The Parents, education experts had asked the educational institutions to inform about there ideas and comments related to this rule within 25th of this Month.
Based on the recent sexual Violence that was happened on school and College girls, the Karnataka Government had released the Regulations for the Protection of the Students. On following this, based on the order from the Karnataka high court, the Police commissioner office of Bangalore City had also released the regulations. The sexual Violence against the Children’s was not reduced in Bangalore even after all these actions.
The Government had taken this issue as very serious and for the first time they had came forward to introduce the Rules and Regulations for the Protection of the School and College Students. The Government had planned to lock the Educational Institutions with the help of these regulations. The Legal Terms consists of 3 Parts. The Bill which consists of 71 pages was registered on the educational department website.
The First Part consists of information related to the responsibilities of the School Teachers, Educational Institutions, Parents and the Students.
Information related to the Preventive measures and implementing them was briefly explained in the next part. Information about the basic facilities and amenities needed in the Schools was briefly explained in the last part. Out of 113 Aspects released by the education department, 94 Aspects should be strictly followed. An Order related to this was mentioned in the Bill.
This Bill was Prepared based on the Guidance from the UN Council, Law banning Child Labor, Children Fairness Act, Children’s Rights Protection Act, Child Marriage Prohibition Act, Right to Education and also form the Bosco Law. This Bill was prepared by the Co Ordination of education department and law department experts.
