NCTE to revive teacher education institutions curriculum

The curriculum for Teacher education courses is going to be changed.The new implementation is to improve knowledge based studies and other activities.

Changes in curriculum

National Teacher Education Council chairperson Mr. Santosh Panda gave some information about these changes. The Education is growing faster in all over the world. So we too need to develop our skills along with them, Education institutions plays a major role in this process. By selecting better institution only, each one can improve their knowledge. So we need to be careful in choosing the better coaching institution. Institution with better achievement is able to help a student to grow. It is important to change syllabuses of Teacher Training courses to improve the quality of the course.

Quality of Education

The quality of each one’s status is identified based only in the end semester examination, this process may be changed. In the new scheme more importance will be given for student’s performance in classes and marks they are scoring the class tests. Based on these factors credits of students will be calculated. Mr. Santosh Panda mentioned that this scheme may introduced soon in teacher training courses.


Mr. Santosh Panda mentioned this in 7th convocation event of tamilnadu open university in Chennai on june 13, 2014.
