“Anna university considering to extend the TNEA application submission date for CBSE students”, university vice chancellor M. Rajaram said this on may 4.
Anna university declared that may 20 is the last date for applying TNEA counseling, Due to general election CBSE exams were extended till april 25, so CBSE mentioned that results will be released in the may third week. So parents reported to anna university that they have only less time for submitting the application.
Related this Vice chancellor said “As per the supreme court judgement university have to complete B.E/B.Tech first year admission process in july month, therefore university started application issue process earlier, final decision will be taken soon regarding this and necessary steps will be taken, about this university is going to conduct a meeting with DGE and CBSE boards for taking the final decisions.
It is expected that If CBSE declare results before may 20 then university may instruct the students to attach just the marks sheet downloaded from internet, then later they will be asked to send the Xerox copy of certificate, this procedure was followed in last year, this year also university may instruct the same.
Deadline dates may also be extended if it looks difficult for CBSE candidates, university is working to take a decision for CBSE students.”
This will not create any issues for MBBS and BDS students because for these health science courses last date is determined as june 2.
