Madras university to use TANCET score for MBA/MCA Admissions hereafter
Madras University has decided to take in fresh students through public entrance examinations. Hence, hereafter students can join in MBA and MCA courses through their TANCET examination scores.
It is quoted about this that this decision was taken as a result of the request from the Directorate of technical education. Also, this decision was taken in accordance with the high court order stating that the admission of students for technical and research related studies must be based on the scores of the student in any of the 5 authorized entrance examinations.
This new decision will come into action from this academic year itself. Earlier, those who wished to join in Madras university with their TANCET examination marks, must get a separate application. But hereafter through single window system people can get easy admissions.
Madras university offers MCA and 2 stages of MBA courses. In self-funding and regular divisions there are each 45 to 50 students. Also due to the various complaints recieved earlier this decision has been taken. The concerned sources said earlier.
