All the pending cases in High court about the TRB were completed and High court instructed the tamilnadu teacher recruitment board to introduce a new selection format and based on this TRB should conduct the recruitment.
In Chennai lot of cases were filed against the tet exam question & answers and teachers selection process based on the weightage marks. Due to this TRB couldn’t able to take final decision in the recruitment process. In this situation madras high court judge Nagamuthu gave final decision and completed all the pending closes.
He also stated that ”In weightage mark calculation 60 mark is given based on the performance in tet exam and 40 marks is given based on their educational qualification, this is not a scientific method so it create contradiction among examiners also this grade system is discriminatory”.
Selection list is going to be compiled again:
last TET exam was conducted in august 2013 and totally 72,000 candidates got eligibility to receive TET certificate after tn govt relaxation announcement. As of april 30 TRB completed certificate verification for 50,000 candidates in different phases. TRB have to conduct certificate verification for 22,000 candidates. It is going to be completed soon.
TRB calculated marks based on their grades during certificate verification process for already completed 50,000 candidates. Due to this new high court’s instruction TRB planned to do only certificate verification for remaining 22,000 candidates and marks will not be calculated for them.
For these candidates certificate verification process will be held between May 6 to May 12 at 28 centers all over the state.
TRBs opinion about this new decision:
TRB officials said that they already have examiners database in the computer so once government release the new procedure, candidates will be short listed based on it and they will be appointed for the jobs.
