79,953 students have applied for getting 12th answer sheet photocopy and about 3346 students applied for the retotalling. Last year 84,000 had applied for answer sheet Xerox copy, this year DGE received 4000 applications lesser than the previous year.

For those who applied for answer sheet copy, scanned copy of answer sheets will be uploaded online before june 2. DGE mentioned that they will complete revaluation and retotalling process before june 10 or 12. After completing these processes new marks will be given to TNEA and Medical admission officials and only based on the new mark rank list will be created and students will be called for the counseling as per their marks.
tn 12th results was announced on may 9 and students applied for answer sheet Xerox copy, revaluation and retotalling till may 14 through their schools.
Answer sheets of candidates who have applied for these processes will be taken to Chennai for scanning from the centers where they are corrected. For this a committee will be formed under the supervision of director of school education department. They will upload the scanned copy of answer sheet in online.so students can download them from online.

After uploading this 3 days time will be given for the students to apply for the revaluation, answer sheets of candidates who registered for revaluation will be re valued by a team which under the supervision of three senior teachers. This team has right to increase or decrease the already provided marks, so students must consult with their teachers before applying for revaluation. They should apply only if there is any chance for getting marks. New certificate will be issued for the students who have change in marks.
But for students who registered for retotalling new mark sheet will be issued only if new mark is higher than earlier mark, else they will get the same marks (even if newly calculated mark is lower than previously displayed total).
