It seems after 5% tet relaxation announcement total number of candidates who are eligible to receive the certificate is increased over 75,000. But only 15,000 vacancies are present in tamilnadu, so now questions have been rising about remaining 60,000 candidates position.
Regarding this tet officials said all the passed candidates got only eligility for working as teacher but appointment will not be given for each candidates, remaining candidates will get high priority in government aided and private school teacher appointments. Also they will get preference in next year government school teacher appointments.
Now certificates will be issued to all 75000 candidates later announcement will be released for teacher appointment. After the announcement candidates who got teacher eligibility test certificate can apply online in trb website for requesting appointment. Based on their weightage marks candidates will be short listed and top 15,000 candidates will get the job.
For secondary grade teacher appointment weightage mark will be calculated based on their TET score, 12th mark and D.T.Ed percentage.
For graduate teachers appointment weightage mark will be calculated with the help of their TET score, 12th ,degree and B.Ed percentage.
Remaining candidates who are not selected for the job may appear for upcoming TET exams to increase their teacher eligibility test score. However tet certificate is valid for seven years so it can be used to apply for trb teacher recruitments upto 7 years.
Last year total number of candidates passed in tet exam was lesser than the teacher requirement so this problem was not raised.
some TET-related cases are still pending in court. After completion of these cases, clear announcement will be made.
