Pongal is the important traditional festival in tamilnadu, next to diwali this is the most expecting festival. It is celebrated by most peoples in tamilnadu. This year pongal holidays begin from January 14 to January 16. As pongal starts on Tuesday most colleges and schools will give 5 days leave upto Sunday, because most students and employers who are working and studying away from their native place will wish to move to their home town to celebrate the festival so for pongal festival they get more days leave than other festivals.
Tamilnadu cm Dr.J. Jayalalithaa has announced various Bonuses for government employers she included following messages in the released news.
Officers and teachers belonging to group a & b and other government employers shown in below file will receive 1000rs. Teachers and officials belonging to c and d group will receive 3000rs. For this purpose government is going to spend 308.28 crores.
