SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission. The SSC has published its time table for all the upcoming recruitment for the year 2014. Basically, the SSC is a selection commission which conducts examinations every year for various posts.

Department exam schedule: staff selection commission departmental exams will be conducted three times in the year 2014. They will be conducted in march, may and December months. Details about when exam will be notified on the ssc website and time to apply online can be find from above links.

SSC exam scheme:
The State Selection Commission conducts written examinations for following both type of qualification. That is for graduate level and high school level as mentioned above. These examinations are conducted for various posts every year. Selection procedure of this type exam includes following levels.
First the preliminary are conducted and those who qualify the preliminary examination are required to appear for the primary exam. Once the candidates qualify the primary exam, they are called for the interviews.
For those who pass the matriculation level main exam have to undergo a skill test like typing or stenography.
After the final results are declared, it takes about 30 to 40 days for processing the documents of candidates who have qualified all levels in examination, at last they will appointed for the works.
SSC age limit:
The age limit varies for each examinations as per the requirements. It is usually published in the notice of recruitment. For most exams age limit is between 18 to 27 years. The candidates who have age and fees relaxations are Scheduled castes or scheduled tribes women and ex service men.
